MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILTY in the American Legion is based on service with the U.S. Armed Forces. The applicant must have served at least one day of Federal active duty from December 7, 1941 and was honorably discharged or is still serving honorably.

Because eligibility dates remain open, all current members of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible to join The American Legion at this time.

Eligible veterans applying for first time membership must submit the following information to the Post 25 Membership Committee:

  1. Completed Membership application HERE.
  2. COPY OF DD214  DISCHARGE. (See how to obtain a copy of your DD214 HERE.)
  3. Membership Dues Payment. DO NOT SEND CASH. You may also pay with .



American Legion members applying for transfer to Post 25 must submit the following:

  1. Completed Transfer Data form HERE.
  2. COPY OF DD214 DISCHARGE. (See how to obtain a copy of your DD214 HERE.)
  3. Copy of your American Legion membership card.

Note that your membership dues payment is required if the current year's dues are not paid. If current dues are paid, please pay your dues for next year's membership.
